Active Life Club (ALC) is recruiting for passionate and enthusiastic Sports & Physical Activity Coaches to join our team. The roles will have responsibility
for delivering our schools programme (lunch & afterschool clubs) in partnership with Active Schools. 

Active Life Club (ALC) has been enriching communities since 1999. We are a multi-award-winning charity (Charity no.: SC048534) which has been offering opportunities to improve physical and mental wellbeing through sports and outdoor programmes for over 2 decades. This position is well suited to an individual looking to advance their career within sport coaching (particularly the third sector) and gain experience developing children and young people from disadvantaged groups. The position is funded for 3 months (Jan-Mar 2023) with the option for additional hours (Saturday football session), and new school sessions likely in following terms.


Based within a small organisation managed by volunteers, you will be part of a team of sessional staff who are responsible for the planning and delivery of multi-sport play and games sessions in local primary schools. Working with children and young people who experience disadvantage, you will be responsible for leading fun and engaging sessions, whilst ensuring safety and inclusivity for all. 

As a result, you will help to:

  • Improve the social, physical, and mental wellbeing of disadvantaged communities in Glasgow
  • Provide more and higher quality opportunities to take part in sport and physical activity
  • Develop effective pathways between schools and Active Life Club
